Why Minister To Men

To me…Men's Ministry should be balanced….Ministry to Men and Ministry by the Men. Rather than simply gathering men to just eat, fellowship, and/or do work, men should see their role as Spiritual leaders, brothers in Christ…..repenting, worshipping, praying, learning, sharing together and helping each other to grow in Christ-likeness. We believe that reaching men to develop and nurture a real personal love relationship with God is a high priority at Kaimuki Christian Church. In order to be the spiritual leaders God wants men to be, there must be a strong commitment by men to develop a close relationship with their God Almighty, Jesus Christ. This relationship will allow men to love their wives, children, families, friends and neighbors like Christ loves them.

It is vital for men to have a real, personal, practical, and genuine love relationship with the One who created us – God. Only when a person learns to love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, can they really learn to love others. Kaimuki Christian Church believes in the quality of a man's relationship with God. If a person's relationship with God is not what it should be, then that person's relationship with others will suffer.

A man who is committed to having a real, personal, and practical relationship with God and has deep personal relationships with other men, will make a better husband, father, son, friend and neighbor. Men who put God first in their lives will also become spiritual leaders at home, work, and in the church. Wisdom and discernment will come from God in order to live a righteous life. "Real" men desire a love relationship with God as their first priority. God will teach them how to really love others. I agree with Sid Woodruff when he says that the believers are not to be "lone rangers". He refers to the many "one another" passages in the Bible that tell us that men need each other for encouragement, accountability, and spiritual growth (Proverbs 27:17, Thessalonians 5:14, Romans 15:14, and Hebrews 10:24).

As Christian man needs to surround himself with trusted, committed friends who will be honest, transparent and confidential as weakness, struggle and burdens are shared. Having these Christ-centered relationships are crucial to building and maintaining and effective Men's Ministry because Men are far more interested in relationships than programs.

Together We Can Men's Ministry of Kaimuki Christian Church and be committed to being a real man with real results. Growing in Christ and impacting the world and our communities' one man at a time. To me, that's what the Men's Ministry at Kaimuki Christian Church. We are here for you men, so........LET'S DO IT!! Together We Can.

Hope to see you in our Men's Ministry!
